 okra or lady's fingers is one of the most popular vegetables used in cooking; It can be prepared in different ways, knowing that it is famous in the Arab countries, such as the Levant, Egypt and others, and it can be cooked with meat or chicken, so it is served as a main or side dish, and in this article we will talk about the different ways to make okra with meat.



Okra with meat


Meat Ingredients:

🔹Half a kilogram of meat, cut into medium-sized squares. 

🔹Onion. 

🔹Water and salt as needed.
 
🔹Bay leaf. 

🔹A tablespoon of corn oil. 

🔹A pinch of ground black pepper.
 
Okra ingredients: 

🔹A kilogram of green okra. 

🔹Finely chopped onion. 

🔹Finely chopped garlic cloves. 

🔹Two tablespoons of tomato sauce. 

🔹Two tomatoes, peeled and mashed.

Prepare the meat

🔹Heat the oil in a bowl of pressure on the fire, put the meat squares in it, and season with salt and black pepper. 

🔹Stir the meat until it is cooked, then cover it with water. 

🔹Add the onion and bay leaf, press the pot, and leave it on the fire until the meat is completely cooked. Turn off the fire, and keep the broth aside.

Prepare the okra:

🔹Heat a little oil in another bowl, and fry the onions and garlic until they change color. 

🔹Add the tomatoes, and stir the ingredients together. 

🔹Add the okra, and tomato sauce, and pour the meat broth over it until it is covered. 

🔹Leave the okra on a high heat until it is cooked, then add the boiled meat to it.

🔹Reduce the heat, and bring the mixture to a boil for at least ten minutes. 

🔹Remove the pot from the heat, pour the okra into a serving dish, then serve it.


Okra tray with meat 


Ingredients 

🔹400 grams of meat cut into squares. 

🔹Two potatoes, cut into squares. 

🔹Half a kilogram of okra. 

🔹Onion cut into squares. 

🔹Eight cloves of crushed garlic. 

🔹Half a cup of tomato juice.

🔹Salt, ground black pepper, and vegetable oil as needed. 

🔹Half a teaspoon of curry. 

🔹A teaspoon of safflower. 

🔹A quarter of a teaspoon of ground ginger. 

🔹Two and a half cups of meat broth. 

Preparation:

🔹Heat the oil in a pot on the fire, add the onions, and stir until it wilts.

🔹Season the onions with salt, black pepper, curry, safflower, and ginger. 

🔹Add the potatoes, okra, and tomato juice, and stir the ingredients until they overlap each other. 

🔹Pour two cups of meat broth over the mixture, and leave it on the fire until the ingredients are cooked.

🔹Spread the okra mixture in an oven tray. 

🔹Put the tray in the oven until the ingredients are browned. 

🔹Heat a little oil in a frying pan, and put the garlic in it until it wilts. 

🔹Add the rest of the meat broth to the garlic, and leave the mixture on the fire until it boils. 

🔹Put a little oil in another pot, and raise it on the fire.

🔹Place the meat squares in the pot, flavor with pepper and salt, and stir until tender. 

🔹Remove the tray from the oven, pour the garlic mixture, and distribute the meat on its surface, then serve.

Tips 


🔹It is preferable to serve a plate of rice and vermicelli, along with okra. 

🔹You can put a little lemon juice on the okra when served.
