The bechamel sauce that is placed on pasta is one of the foods that all people, old and young, love to eat, due to its delicious taste and the ease of preparing it in a short time. In this article, we will discuss several ways to prepare bechamel sauce.

Basic Béchamel sauce
💠Ingredients:
🔹Sixty grams of butter cut into small cubes.

🔹A third of a cup of all-purpose flour.

🔹 Four and a half cups of liquid milk.

🔹 Seventy-five grams of parmesan cheese.

🔹 A quarter teaspoon of salt.

🔹 A pinch of nutmeg.

💠Preparation:

🔹 Place the butter in a pot over medium heat and leave it until it melts, then add the flour and stir for two minutes until it is toasted.

 🔹Half a teaspoon of mustard.

 🔹A quarter teaspoon of nutmeg.

 🔹A pinch of salt and black pepper.

 🔹Two cups of grated cheddar cheese.

 🔹Place the butter in a pot over low heat until it melts, then add the flour and stir until toasted, then add the milk and stir well. We may not need the full amount of milk because some types of flour do not need a large amount of liquid.

🔹Stir the sauce until it thickens for 7-10 minutes, then remove it from the heat and season it with salt, pepper, nutmeg and mustard, then add the cheese and stir quickly until it melts, and you can omit it.

Bechamel with eggs

💠Ingredients: 

 🔹Half a cup of unsalted butter.

 🔹Half a cup of all-purpose flour.

 🔹Three cups of liquid milk.

 🔹Two egg yolks, slightly beaten.

 🔹One and a half teaspoon of salt.

 🔹Half a teaspoon of white pepper.

💠Preparation: 

 🔹Place the butter in a pot over medium heat until it melts, then add the flour and toast it for three minutes, then add the milk and stir quickly for 3-5 minutes until the mixture becomes thick in consistency.

🔹Place two tablespoons of bechamel in a small dish and mix it with the egg yolks, then add the yolk mixture to the sauce pot while stirring quickly, season with salt and pepper and remove the pot from the heat.

Bechamel sauce with cardamom
 
💠Ingredients: 

🔹 A quarter cup of flour.

🔹 Four cups of liquid milk.

🔹 Two tablespoons of butter.

🔹 Three tablespoons of cream cheese.
 
🔹A little ground cardamom.

🔹 Half a clove of garlic.

🔹 A teaspoon of dried thyme.
 
🔹Bay leaf.

 🔹A little black pepper.

 🔹An amount of salt, as desired.

 🔹Boil the milk over the fire, then add each of the following spices to it: 

🔹black pepper, dry thyme, cardamom, bay leaf, and garlic.

🔹Filter the milk from the spices on the next day.

 🔹Put the butter and flour on the fire, then add the cheese and milk to them.

 🔹Stir them over the heat until you get the desired consistency.


Bechamel sauce with chicken broth

 💠Ingredients: 

 🔹Seven tablespoons of powdered milk.

 🔹Four tablespoons of flour.

 🔹Two and a half cups of water.

 🔹White pepper, as much as desired.

 🔹A cube of Maggi chicken broth.

💠Preparation: 

 🔹Add the pepper, the Maggi cube, and the powdered milk to the water.

 🔹Put the flour in a pot, then put it on the fire and continue stirring until the flour dissolves, then add the milk until it is combined.

🔹Then add the milk, chicken broth cube, pepper, and cinnamon, then add the flour and starch mixture, and stir them over medium heat until you get a thick sauce.

💠Tips

 🔹Putting salt on the bechamel depends on taste, because the milk and flour need a good amount of salt, so do not add salt until you taste it.

 🔹You can freeze the bechamel sauce in the freezer. When used, take it out of the freezer and leave it at room temperature, then boil it a little in a non-stick pot.

🔹You can use ready-made béchamel sauce in packets, but home-made béchamel sauce is tastier because it is possible to control the flavor and quantity, such as: (adding Maggi cubes, or adding cinnamon, oregano, or nutmeg, or you can add hot spices.

🔹Adding cheese is always optional, so you can add it or leave it out, all according to your desire.
