Qamar al-Din Juice
Qamar al-Din Juice
đź’ Ingredients:
- Six cups of water.
- Four cups of ice.
- Six hundred grams of dried Qamar al-Din slices.
- A tablespoon of rose water.
- Two cups of sugar.
- A tablespoon of orange blossom water.
đź’ Preparation:
- Cut the Qamar al-Din slices into medium-sized pieces using a knife, then place them with two cups of sugar in a medium-sized pot, add three cups of water on top, then place the pot on low heat, stirring the ingredients constantly until the Qamar al-Din pieces dissolve completely.
- Remove the pot from the heat and set it aside to cool, then add the following ingredients: orange blossom water, rose water and the remaining three cups of water to the mixture, stirring the mixture using a metal spoon or hand mixer until the ingredients are well combined.
- Crush the ice cubes and place them in serving cups, then pour Qamar al-Din syrup into them and serve ready.
Qamar al-Din syrup with ice cream
đź’ Ingredients:
- Six pieces of dried and chopped apricots.
- A liter and a half of water.
- A package of Qamar al-Din.
- A liter of vanilla ice cream.
- A cup and a quarter of sugar.
đź’ Preparation:
- Cut the Qamar al-Din using a knife into small pieces and place them in a deep pot, then add sugar on top and cover them with water.
- Leave the Qamar al-Din pieces to soak in water for about an hour or until they dissolve, then filter the Qamar al-Din using a strainer until you get a concentrated syrup, with the possibility of adding sugar to the syrup as desired.
- Put half a liter of ice cream in the electric blender bowl and pour the concentrated Qamar al-Din syrup over it and beat them together at moderate speed for about one minute until the mixture is homogeneous.
- Pour the syrup into serving cups and distribute the remaining amount of ice cream on the cups and decorate them with dried apricots, then serve the Qamar al-Din syrup with ice cream immediately.
Soaked Qamar al-Din
đź’ Ingredients:
- Two hundred and fifty grams of dried apricots.
- Five hundred grams of Qamar al-Din.
- A quarter cup of sugar.
- Walnuts - as desired.
- Almonds - as desired.
- Pistachios - as desired.
- Pine nuts - as desired.
- Two hundred and fifty grams of dried peaches.
- Three and a half cups of hot water.
- A teaspoon of cornstarch.
đź’ Preparation:
- Cut the Qamar al-Din using a knife into small pieces and put them in a pot, then immerse them in hot water, cover the pot and leave them overnight or a whole day.
- Put each of: dried apricots, half a teaspoon of vanilla in a pot with a very small amount of water and put the pot on low heat to boil the apricots until they become soft.
- Remove the apricots from the water, then add the dried peaches to the water and boil them for several minutes on the fire until they become soft, then filter them and put them in another pot.
- Place the following ingredients: starch, apricot with the soaking water and sugar and whisk them together until the mixture becomes smooth, then put the mixture in a pot and put it on low heat while continuing to stir until the mixture starts to boil and the consistency of the mixture becomes slightly consistent.
- Add the boiled apricots and peaches to the mixture and stir them together, then pour the mixture into serving cups and place them in the refrigerator for a whole day or several hours.
đź’ For decoration:
- Put each of the following in separate bowls: pistachios, pine nuts, walnuts and almonds and soak them in water for several hours, then drain them from the water and distribute them on the surface of the serving cups and serve them ready.
Qamar al-Din drink with nuts
đź’ Ingredients:
- A packet of Qamar al-Din.
- Twenty dried and chopped apricots.
- A cup of golden raisins.
- Water - as needed-.
- Roasted almonds, pine nuts and pistachios - as desired-.
đź’ Preparation:
- Cut Qamar al-Din into small slices, and place them in a medium-sized pot, then add the pieces of dried apricots and raisins to the pot.
- Add water to the mixture so that all the ingredients are covered.
- Place the pot on medium heat, and leave it until the mixture begins to boil.
- Reduced the heat under the pot and left until the paste is completely dissolved, and the apricots and raisins are cooked well.
- Pour the Qamar al-Din mixture into serving cups, leave it until it cools, then decorate it with roasted nuts.
