Iced Mocha
Iced mocha is a sweet coffee drink that can be served as a snack or even as a light dessert, served with whipped cream or marshmallows. It is similar to other coffee drinks such as cappuccino or mochaccino, which can be served cold or hot, and additional flavors can be added to it such as chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon, etc. It is usually loved by children because its basic flavor is based on chocolate and milk, and the coffee flavor is light.
Iced mocha contains a large amount of sugar compared to other coffee drinks, so it should be consumed with caution and in small quantities by those suffering from diabetes. It is also very rich in calories, unlike regular coffee, and consuming it in large quantities contributes to gain weight, so it is not recommended for those following a diet to lose excess weight. In this article, we will explain how to make iced mocha.
Making an Iced Mocha
💠Ingredients
- A cup and a half of Nescafe liquid coffee.
- Two cups of full-fat liquid milk.
- Half a cup of sugar.
- A quarter cup of water.
- Two tablespoons of cocoa powder.
- A quarter teaspoon of liquid vanilla, which is an optional ingredient.
- A small pinch of salt.
- A quantity of whipped cream and grated chocolate for decoration.
💠How to prepare:
- Pour the Nescafe coffee into an empty mold in the freezer that is used to make ice cubes, then put the mold in the refrigerator until the coffee is completely frozen and becomes cube-shaped, for several hours or you can make it the night before using it.
- Add the water to a small saucepan, then dissolve a quarter cup of sugar in it. Then add the cocoa powder and a small pinch of salt. Place the saucepan over a very low heat and stir the mixture until it heats up and small bubbles begin to appear on the edges of the surface of the mixture. Then remove the saucepan from the heat and add the liquid vanilla. Mix the ingredients together until you have a concentrated chocolate syrup. Then cover the bowl and leave it in the refrigerator for at least thirty minutes until it cools completely.
- Remove the iced coffee cubes from the mold and place them in an electric blender or food processor, add the remaining sugar, chocolate syrup, and milk, then blend all the ingredients together with the blender until completely mixed and all the iced coffee cubes are broken up. Serve the iced mocha cold in large serving glasses, and add a tablespoon of whipped cream to each glass for decoration, as well as a sprinkle of grated chocolate.
